2TB NAS Drive

NAS SATA drive 2TB untuk network file storage. Selama ni simpan dalam server zaman batu dengan capaciti SCSI harddisk cuma 10GB untuk share 80 orang.

Bercerita mengenai DSLR, mungkin ramai yang meminatinya. Kalau dahulu film SLR hanya mampu dimiliki oleh golongan elit sahaja (betul ke ni) tapi kini dslr mampu dimiliki oleh semua orang. SLR camera menggunakan filem ni tak mahal tapi nak membeli consumable macam bateri, filem dan develop gambar tu yang kos agak tinggi. Tetapi DSLR telah mengubah persepsi ini. Pengguna boleh mengambil shot tanpa memikirkan kos yg tinggi kerana semua gambar disimpan dalam memori dan bateri pula boleh dicas semula. Pendek kata semunya boleh direcycle. Akibat dari itu, pengguna lebih kepada 'shoot and think later' dari 'think first then shoot'. Kalau gambar tak jadi, terus delete dan compose semula. Ianya memudahkan tapi hasil seninya tidak seperti pengguna SLR yang mana sebelum menekan butang shutter, fikir dulu dan dah yakin barulah tekan.
Kalau dilihat teknologi dslr ni terus berkembang pesat. Saingan terkuat adalah nikon dan canon. Walaubagaimanapun, sony, pentax dan olympus mengiringi arus semasa. Kalau dulu sememangnya canon agak mendahului dari segi pengawalan noise pada ISO yang tinggi tapi sekarang Nikon mampu menandingi Canon.

Model ni macam menarik gak. Latest model from nikon. Live view, 1080i video recording, tilt and swivel lcd screen dan 12.3MP. Cuma harga agak mahal sikit. :-(

Nak beli DSLR

Off topic sikit. Baru ni dapat budget ni utk beli kamera sekolah sebab kamera pns canon 570is dah rosak dan masih di canon service center. Budget tu cukup untuk angkat DSLR sebijik tapi tak pasti nak beli model apa. Biasa guna canon tapi ingat nak ubah citarasa ke nikon. Tapi sure kalau bagi ke tangan student, tak sampai seminggu, jgnkan dslr...nenek dslr pun jahanam...hi hi. So maknanya kena tangan cikgu di je la yg pegang benda ni. :-)

Tiada idea

agak tertarik dengan slogan IARU ni. Radio amatur ada hobi yang terpaling atas berbanding hobi lain. Walaupun dah banyak gak hobi yg saya buat sblm ni macam RC, photography, GPS mapping, kumpul sample (hi hi) dan mambawa xyl bershopping, namun hobi ini masih tidak menandingi hobi sebagai penggemar AMATEUR RADIO.

Cheap alternative for GLCD

Where to get an inexpensive GLCD? Standard 16X2 character LCD sell at Rm25 per pieces but we can get less price than that for GLCD. The answer is using nokia 3310 LCD module. Just now somebody quote me RM14 per piece including the chassis and speaker. The resolution is 84X48 pixel and its more than enough for small project that require simple graphic. I also found a lot of information on the net regarding this lcd. It time to break my 'tabung ayam' again to buy a piece. Check out this link that the 16F876A LC meter using this LCD and also a pic12f675 digital themometer.

Meder Reed relay for LC meter project

Susah juga untuk dapatkan equivalent part untuk dip relay LC meter ni. Setelah berbincang beberapa kali dengan designer LC meter ini maka saya pon cuba cari part yang sama tapi parts tersebut tiada di Malaysia. Kebetulan terjumpa spec yang sama di Farnell iaitu DIP05-1A72-12D part number 1079439 yang berharga RM21.72 sebiji. Untuk mendapatkan parts ini boleh pergi ke Farnell http://my.farnell.com/meder/dip05-1a72-12d/relay-reed-dip-5vdc/dp/1079439 Seperti biasa, saya cuba menghubungi meder untuk request sample. Alhamdulillah, mereka setuju untuk memberi 5 pieces part tersebut. Kepada yang ingin mencuba menghasilkan LC meter homebrew sendiri boleh lawati laman web VK3BHR di http://ironbark.bendigo.latrobe.edu.au/~rice/lc/. Difahamkan kebanyakkan DVM dipasaran yang ada L dan C measurement tidak se'accurate' homebrew ini dan kalau ada mungkin harganya agak keterlaluan :- ). Sorry, I can't suggest a relay part number. I don't know what would be locally available to you in 9W2.

Any 5volt relay with a coil resistance of more than 130 ohm and a "normally open" contact should be suitable. It is not a solid state relay. It is just an ordinary electromechanical "relay" (coil, moving armature, one normally open contact).

This is what I waiting for...

Paling banyak project PIC menggunakan 16F84A dan 16F628A. Parts ni microchip mcm maleh nak buat je. So kiranya parts ni dah matured. DIYer mula berpindah ke PIC yang lebih besar capacity memorynya mcm 16F887 atau yang future 16F1938 dan 16F1939. Kalau beli dipasaran mungkin 84A dan 628A leh menjangkau Rm30 sebiji. So apa lagi...request je la.
